My Friends
- Jami Lunde
- A tell it like it is singer/songwriter with songs of broken hearts, drunken nights and rock'n'roll fantasies...and she produces killer house concerts in Winter Park, CO!
"I was captivated by Jami's 'go-for-broke' attitude on stage and her writing has a maturity that I appreciate" - Don Conoscenti, Songwriter
- Jenny Bruce
- My dear friend and the NYC diva of really great pop. Smoky, pure vocals, superb writing, poise, grace and tasty production. Check out her release "Soul on Fire"
- Justin Roth
- This is the man who encouraged me to do music professionally and to start touring. You have him to thank. He is an exceptional guitarist/singer/songwriter and has a brilliant new recording that you should check out called "Shine" that I sang back up vocals on.
- Kristy Kruger
- Kristy's new album "An Unauthorized Guide to the Human Anatomy" was recently awarded "Best Album of 2004" in the International Just Plain Folks Awards from tens of thousands of CDs. It's a remarkable recording by a remarkable woman who I trucked with through 14 Swing States registering voters before the 2004 Presidential Election! Check her out and buy her CD.
Other CDs Danya Sings/Plays/Has Tracks on
- Holiday Extravaganza CD
- My dear friends Wil Massisak and Brian Schey at Boulder's Velvet Recording Studio produced a wacky holiday CD that I sing a couple tracks on (in Spanish and in Old English!). Check it out.
- Kreg Viesselman "The Pull"
- I was flown out to Wales to sing on this classic 60's folk-rock-sounding album. Did full on gospel style vocalings with Rachel Davis and Liz Barnez. Take a listen. You'll love it.
- Justin Roth "Shine"
- Great album. David Wilcox meets Michael Hedges meets other.
- Spring Hill Media: Home of Robert Gass (Danya's dad)
- This is a link to my dad, Robert Gass's, label. He taught me to play piano and sang me to sleep almost every night. My dad is a classically trained pianist and composer and was a pioneer in bringing Hindu chant to Western audiences over 30 years ago. He has over 23 albums of sacred chant from around the world put to Western choral arrangments and recorded with a Boston-based choir, On Wings of Song. His recordings are great for yoga, meditation, massage, or for cooking breakfast to and have sold well over 500,000 copies nationally and internationally. I first appeared on "Many Blessings" at the age of 6 months, and have sung with the choir, helped my dad work out parts, and helped him produce every album since I was 13.
